  9. The fastest and better way to play Mpeg video files 1&2 with sound for AGA/68k users
  10. 18 bits true colors or 8 bits grayscale output

  14. -"Blazewcp" patch by Rick Pratt speedup framerate very much
  15. due amipeg use OS chunky to planar routines
  16. so install it yes or yes

  27. Well ..all mpega players for the Amiga now are really slows and bads
  28. buggy gui..no play and stop buttons ..
  29. even these for ppc & gfx boards
  30. mpeg 1/2 video source is public domain and there are lot of documentation on the net
  31. so no excuse to make a good video mpeg player or update for example AMipeg V 1.1
  32. -AMipeg 1.1 is fast and good and can be modified to play at full speed mpeg2 anims with sound
  33. this package is an example of that
  34. (source of Amipeg 1.1 is on aminet)

  36. This little proggy is the best option if you have a 040 or 060/AGA
  37. it can play mpeg 1/2 video format on AGA at 18 bits true colors or grayscale with sound
  38. and will work on GFX boards as well

  41. Requeriments:
  42.  
  43. -lot of ram
  44. -020 or higher
  45. -060/50mhz or better recomended
  46.  
  47. Installation:
  48.  
  49. 1-copy mpega,amipeg,BlazeWCP and splitter to c:
  50. 2-copy mpega.library and asyncio.library to libs:
  51. 3-add a line in the user-startup: "c:blazewcp" (not requerided but ultra-recommended)
  52. 4-copy the correct opus 5 filetype included to Dopus5:filetypes/    (optional)
  53.  
  54. AGA users:Please note that if you are using any vga monitor make sure that you
  55. have selected "mode promotion" on Icontrol preferences
  56.  
  57. Usage:
  58.  
  59. doubleclick on VideoMPEGA icon and select any mpeg video file
  60. then choice betewen colour output or grayscale output
  61. or
  62. doubleclick on any mpeg video file on Dopus5 if you have installed the filetype included
  63.  
  64. Last notes:
  65.  
  66. -don't load long anims unless you have enough ram space
  67. -ram is used for faster playback speed
  68. -copy to Dopus5 only one of the filetypes included (not both)
  69. -if you have a ppc board don't replace your ppc-mpega.library for this 68k one included
  70. -ppc procesor will be used for audio if you have a ppc board
  71. -if the audioo is not syncronized very well is due you need a faster cpu
  72. -don't forget install BlazeWCP...it will increase framerate speed
